The Swedish journalist Nils Horner, a highly respected correspondent in Asia for Swedish public radio, was brutally murdered in Kabul on 11 March , the latest reporter of many to be murdered in the line of duty.

Since Nils Horner had a special interest in and commitment to the development of Burma we wish to dedicate this issue of PEN/Opp to his memory.
